Hi Connor

I have problem with running your engine. The engine stops moving after 10 moves or so and runs out of time.
Maybe nnue error ? Can you take a look and see if can fix it ?
I am using Fritz 18 GUI.

Hello Damir, can you share some more information regarding your configuration? If you have some logs to share, that would be greatly appreciated. We can move further discussion to this thread: http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.p ... 7&start=80. Thanks!

Caissa 1.14 is released:

https://github.com/Witek902/Caissa/releases/tag/1.14

New neural net trained on total 4.5 billion positions generated in Caissa self-play games
experimenting with trainer hyperparameters, switched to Adam optimizer
~70B iterations
introduced positions from games started from a position sampled from high-quality tournament games with other engines (TCEC, CCRL, SP-CC)
introduced positions from SPRT games (both STC and LTC)
Introduce separate BMI2 binary version (uses more efficient PEXT move generation)
Improved continuation history heuristics
SPSA tuning search and move ordering parameters
Numerous search improvements:
better repetition handling
tweaking heuristics (LMR, IIR)
improved continuation history heuristics
Time manager tweaks (noticeable improvement in time control with big time increment)
Numerous small speedups
Started using PGO (profile-guided optimizations) for AVX2 and BMI2 builds

Testrun for my UHO-Top15 Ratinglist started. Result in 4-5 days. Caissa is already very strong and it's progress in the last year is really impressive!

Hi there,

I remember times when the engine were on the ignore list because the programmer did not use an own network file.
I wrote ... please give the programmers time for that. It's not wrong to try out this and that before starting the own programming.

In the case of Caissa, this was absolutely clear to me, because the programmer was very busy and do a lot ... all the time!!
Same for others! Today the programmer have an own network file!

Often I can't understand the community.
Quick to judge, nobody talks about it later.
That's allways the same!

Best
Frank

Not the once update ...

1. Peacekepper 2.1.0
https://github.com/Sazgr/peacekeeper
by Kyle Zhang (USA)
go into TOP-40 (think so)

2. Obsidian 7.0
https://github.com/gab8192/Obsidian
by Gabriele Lombardo (Italy)
go into TOP-20-22 (think so, very strong with big steps to version 6.0).

3. Fire 9.1
by Norman Schmidt (Belgium)
Can be 30 Elo stronger as 9.0 (think so).

But I am only looking for TOP-50 ... sure much more new engine versions are available in the last days.
In month November most engine updates are available, since years!
